Lady Gaga: The Born This Way Ball - Australia

Lady Gaga is coming back to Australia once again to bring us "The Born This Way Ball", which was produced by Live Nation. This is her new tour, wherein she will be performing songs from "Born This Way", "The Fame", and "The Fame Monster".

According to Lady Gaga: "The Haus of Gaga and I have worked for months conceiving a spectacular stage. The Born This Way Ball is an Electro-Metal Pop-Opera; the tale of the Beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating”. Tickets to this tour are on Pre-sale under Visa Entertainment from February 13, 9 am, until February 15, 5 pm. The start of ticket sale to the general public will start on February 17, 2012 at 9 am.

Whitney Houston : Dead at 48

The news has just come in that Whitney Houston has died. The reason of death is still unknown... However, reports say that she partied heavily last night with her group of friends and died at Beverly Hilton Hotel. She was found in her hotel room's bath tub with her head underwater.

Her family said that she has been taking a prescription drug called Xanax, which aims to treat anxiety and when taken with alcohol, it may cause drowsiness. Aside from this, police has seen half dozen bottles of medications in her room (TMZ). Official results of her autopsy are still placed on hold.

I was just listening to her songs yesterday... May her soul rest in peace... She will always be a legendary singer.

Let me start this off again... Remember how I've always wanted to get the chance to meet Orlando Bloom? I already said this about Miranda Kerr and events started to happen to give me the opportunity to do so, but due to the fact that I cannot absent from my clinical placement on the days of these events, I am just hoping for another event that would take place at the right time. =(

It's my birthday and my cousins decided to tell me "Are you going to be free on Monday? That is the perfect time for you to give yourself a birthday gift." And I am like... "Why? What's up on Monday?" Then they both said that Orlando Bloom was the co-host of my favorite radio show "The Kyle and Jackie O Show" this Monday! And I know where their station is, and my cousins told me I can drop by.

You know the feeling wherein your mind and heart were racing tremendously in all directions? I got restless. I want to absent, but I can't... And... but... Grrrr... That's an opportunity! It's a sure thing that he'll be in that place at that very moment!

However, for now... All I can say is: "I know there's another opportunity for me." The next day, Miranda Kerr will be at my favorite store, and once again, I cannot go because of my clinical placement. =( Again, "I know there's another opportunity for me." Everything will come at the right moment.

So to all the fans of Orlando Bloom and The Kyle and Jackie O Show, listen to them on 2day FM on Monday. The show starts at 6:00AM and ends at 9:00AM.

My Birthday - 2012

February 11... I was born on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes. It is because of this blessing that my second name was derived from Our Lady of Lourdes herself. Also, I have always associated my birthday with the feast day, so I am thankful that I am deeply connected to the blessed Mary.

It is my second time to celebrate my birthday here in Australia. Of course, I would love to celebrate my birthday with all my family and friends in the Philippines, but I am still happy and I feel that I still have a fulfilling celebration, because I can feel the love from everyone who gave time to remember with me this special day. I am still grateful for all of the blessings and opportunities that I have received in the past year, and I am already thankful for what is to come.

The Phantom of the Opera Invades Manila & Australia 2012

One of my lifetime goals is to be a BROADWAY musical star. My friends would look at me weirdly when I say this, because they're used to me singing Pop or Rock. However, I discovered this when I was 7 years old, upon hearing Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA soundtrack through my cousin. That time, I haven't seen the movie yet (the one that starred MADONNA), and I was just creating these images in my head while listening to the songs. I started acting the scenes out, while singing the musical pieces, imagining I was Evita. That was the start of my love for musicals ...

At a young age, I was exposed to the theatre world. I watched Miss Saigon when I was 8 in Sydney (this starred Ms. Joanna Ampil), and I continued watching musicals while growing up in the Philippines, such as "They're Playing Our Song", (held in Manila, which starred Ms. Lea Salonga and Adrian Pang), "Florante at Laura" (Philippines production which starred Carl Virtudazo and Princess Virtudazo), "CATS" (the Australian production that toured Manila, which included our very own Ms. Lea Salonga), and of course, "The Phantom of the Opera" (the New York Broadway production) and "Love Never Dies" (The Phantom of the Opera's Sequel- Australian production). These are only some of the productions I've seen, and there are more of these which I wish I could just list down. However, this is not the point of my post.

So why am I telling you these things??? It is because of this great build-up of theatre enthusiasm that I deeply fell in love with the Phantom... Obsessed type of love. Lol!

I was actually a fan!

I've grown up in the Philippines and ever since I fell in love with the Phantom, all I wished for was for them to have a production in my very own country. It's different when you watch these musicals in your homeland, right? And especially if you're a theatre enthusiast like me!

I moved here in Sydney last year, and I was so excited when I heard that the sequel to the Phantom of the Opera was running in Melbourne. I started planning my flight and accommodation just to see it. But God is indeed good, because the production announced that they are coming to Sydney in 2012! Last January, I watched the production with my cousin, and we were completely blown away by the amazing performance of the cast. I'm planning to review this later on because it will be long. Nonetheless, if the AUSTRALIAN PRODUCTION is reading this, YOU HAVE COMPLETELY TOUCHED OUR HEARTS--even my cousin who never saw the first part of The Phantom of the Opera.

After watching the Australian version of the play, I saw that THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is finally going to the PHILIPPINES this year! I seriously wanna see this because helloooooo? Firstly, it's THE PHANTOM, and secondly, it's going to be in my homeland!!! And of course, I HAVE SO MANY FRIENDS who love the Phantom, and it would be nice to bond with them through this amazing Andrew Lloyd Webber creation!

I have a question though... Is Ramin Karimloo playing the role of the Phantom in Manila? Because if he is, I am definitely coming home!

I am happy how the Philippines is getting so many musicals these past and upcoming months (CATS, Sound of Music, Mamma Mia!,etc). Sad though that this only started happening when I left Manila. Lol! First it was WESTLIFE, then the PHANTOM!? COME ONNNN! LOL. So to my fellow PHANTOM LOVERS, be vigilant and grab your tickets AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I'm sure that the competition for the tickets will be really tight!

I don't think I can join because of my required clinical placement that day. It would have been a great birthday gift for me though. Before even moving to Sydney, I knew about her through Orlando Bloom (not that Orlando and I are close. LOL!). Also, it's great to know that she's from here, so the chances of seeing her randomly would be really high. However, I don't stalk, so I'll just hope that I would accidentally see her somewhere and get a photo with her (WARNING TO MIRANDA: I'm short...Please don't wear heels. LOL.).

A Hair Story: The Evolution of Straight & Curls

I was born with a beautiful, silky, and straight hair. When I was 6 years old, I was offered an opportunity to be part of a REJOICE Kids commercial. We had to turn it down, because our school was really strict when it came to such matters. I grew up with people telling me how lovely my hair was. Then I turned 9 years old, and my hair started receiving negative feedback.

"Your hair looks like a horse's tail."
"Your hair looks like a broom."
"Your hair is like a mananaggal's (a Filipino mythical creature)."

Yes, my hair suddenly became curly in a way that it didn't have that "GOLDILOCKS bounce" (My mom has a curly hair and my dad has a wavy hair. It's normal to have a gradual change of hair upon growing up). It was like having a hair that has this permanent hairspray on it. During those days, straight was "in" and curly was "out". From 9 years old to 12 years old, I had my hair tied back in a ponytail, and I envied those who could let their hair loose and have the wind blow their hair dramatically. I hated my hair. I hated how I lost my beautiful hair.

I discovered rebonding when I was 13 years old. It wasn't known that time yet, and I was one of the few who became guinea pigs to this treatment. The first rebond I had was so bad--I had this straight hair, but it was stiff.

After a year, I finally found a good stylist. I had that silky and straight hair once again. I had my hair blown dramatically by the wind like everybody else. It received plenty of compliments once again. However, having a rebonded hair was so annoying. A few weeks later, of course, hair would grow, and you end up having that awkward uplifted square or edgy hair at the roots, since the rest of your hair is flat and your original hair is not. Because of this, I ended up ironing my hair all the time, and it's common sense that I was damaging my hair even though I was using heat protectors on my hair.

I enjoyed rocking it out with my hair not getting messed around by my hyperness on stage. This was in 2005.

Due to the high maintenance of a rebonded hair, I was rebonding my hair every year until finally, I was 20 years old. At that point, I discovered digital hair perm. Thanks to my Korean stylist, he studied my original hair, and permed my rebonded hair to resemble my original curls. Thus, when my original hair grew out, it only needed low maintenance.

I was back to my original hair. I never brushed my hair, and only put mousse on it to keep them intact. Now, my curls had been receiving sweet feedbacks, and I must say that I am thankful for the hair that I've been given with.

I learned to love my curly hair. In fact, I've been having fun with my hair these days. The only changes it had received the past few months were haircuts and colourings (which I did on my own). No rebonds, no perms. Before anything else, let me give you the evolution of my hair from 2010-2011.

This February, I am back to my dark hair. I miss my dark hair. The only reason I have been colouring my hair for some time was due to me wanting to release my creativity somewhere else aside from writing, singing, or making videos. Unfortunately, my hair received doses of it. Poor thing. Lol. I actually enjoyed colouring my hair. It brought me comfort especially during stressful times. It's how I pampered myself those days. However, due to the damage it has received from colouring, I decided to have a haircut last December, so that I can start the year with a refreshed hair.

Basically, my hair is back to its original state--which I totally missed. I also miss my old hairstyles, but I miss this look more. Hey, it's good to celebrate my birthday on the 11th with my original look. Lol!

In the end, I actually love my curly hair. I hated it before, but now, I am thankful for it. I know that I've coloured it plenty of times, but it's just my way of "accessorizing" or flattering it. I REALLY REALLY LOVE MY CURLY HAIR! Yeah! I realized that I was really meant to have a curly and crazy hair. You see, my hair may be crazy, but it really matches my personality well.

P.S. I am happy that being curly is now appreciated by the society. Back then, products were all targeting straight haired people. This was one of the reasons why I disliked being curly. I couldn't find a product that supported my hair type. Now, hair care companies consider curly haired people in their range of products, which is a proof of appreciation and support for the curlies like me. =)

When I first entered YOUTUBE as mshypersinger (http://youtube.com/mshypersinger), I was discovered by an amazing artist called I.J.D (http://www.youtube.com/itzEyeJayDee ). He is a Filipino, and his music revolves around interesting themes and personal stories. Of course, my favorite was when he rapped about Filipinos.

I've been invited to do a collab with him 2 years ago, but I guess we've been busy on things. However, I am proud to present his 3rd project, "Shattered Memoirs", because I'm in it. =p However, I feel bad that I somehow rushed my part due to my schedule, but overall, his project is beyond epic!

To tell us about his new album, here is I.J.D.! :)

Can you tell us about your new project?

"Shattered Memoirs" is my 3rd project overall, but my first album to be completed. It is probably the most emotional project I have done to date, with its somber tone and cutthroat lyrics, I was pretty clear in sending a message. The entire project from start to finish is split into stages (Reminisce, Revelation, Retaliation, & Retribution), the first stage being about what my life was like when I was with singer Maria Flores, the second stage was when I found out what sort of "relationship" she apparently had with me which ended up leaving me used and upset. Anger took over at that point, which led into the third stage and then in the end acceptance brought me to the conclusion that karma will end up knocking on her door and only then will I be truly satisfied with this situation. Nevertheless, this album was a way for me to release this personal demon from my system and in doing so I spared no detail of this relationship even mentioning names in my verses to send a clear message that this was for them.

Can you tell us the background of each song in your album?

1. "Welcome To The Shattered Memory" -- Simply an intro letting the audience know what they are about to hear and the type of emotions that will overcome them by the end of it. As you can hear, I gave Maria's personal business with me no mercy as I incorporated her voice from the private videos she sent me.

2. "Seductive Eloquence" -- Being in a long-distance "relationship", I don't even know why I'm calling it that considering that she didn't believe what we had was special, regardless, we did do a lot of dirty talking with each other and at this point I am beginning to reveal my feelings to Maria. Honestly, she's lucky I held some restraint to not include sounds from more "private" videos she sent me.

3. "Amazing" (Feat. Marnie Brown) -- At this point, we are deep into this thing that we had. I feel like the happiest man on the fucking planet. I did everything I could to be there for her, always messaged her, etc. & she told me how much it meant to her and how special I made her feel. Little did I know, all of this would come crashing down on me.

4. "Why?" -- Revealing everything to me in a Facebook message, she left my life abruptly. Telling me that she never broke up with her boyfriend (of 2 years) who she is still with by the way and that she was tired of lying to me & in the end said she never loved me at all. That day was one of the worst days of my life, I could not believe I put 8 months of my life devoted to her only to have it slapped back in my face. Apparently, she knew all along since Day 1 that eventually she would have to tell me, but decided to put me out of her life in the most disturbed way I ever experienced.

5. "She Was A Beautiful Song" -- A short song pretty much saying how much this woman meant to me, I wanted to spend my life with her, she was the one in my mind that I never wanted more than anyone in the world. She was my inspiration, now she's just another victim of my music.

6. "Lessons In Heartbreak" -- Taking a short step in another direction, I slowly let my temper enter the picture by revealing my past encounters with love leading up to my time with Maria. The second verse highlights a girl I was determined to woo years ago, but I was cut short by her current boyfriend Luis Villegas who eventually knocked her up and pretty much at this point I laughed hysterically in a very perverse manner because last year her older sister cheated on my older brother and she knew all about it, but didn't tell my brother until it was too late. I took that very personally, therefore taking shots at Eliza and Luis, her for being another statistic in America's teen pregnancy percentage and Luis' lack of knowledge to use protection because he's pretty much an idiot in life. The third verse was eventually brought back to my situation with Maria, it is here that the harshest line I have ever written is mentioned where I felt that the idea of her possibly getting pregnant by her boyfriend Aldeen as karma was not as satisfying to me. I took it a step further and wished that she would get throat cancer which would handicap her permanently from singing the one thing that gives her pathetic life meaning, I wanted her to lose the ability to sing, much like she took away my love and threw it away.

7. "Long Night Ahead" (Feat. Stephanie Singer) -- I couldn't sleep as well ever since Maria left my life, I was in a constant battle with insomnia and eventually I was beginning to feel more depressed and angry that my music life was slowly spiraling as well, noting that I was consistently overlooked and how certain people in my college were a fucking pain in the ass to share a room with because of their "fake" nature. These personal demons were always chained to my life and only through music was I able to break free from them.

8. "The Petal Comes Off The Flower" (Interlude) -- Think of it like an intermission, having gone through 3 stages of the album, we move to the present and how I am currently coping with this and how finally I am ready to move on.

9. "Tell Me (You're Wrong)" -- A short simple song retaliating against her song that she released about me entitled "Worth It", where she states that I am the one with the problem and not her, leaving me even more irritated that she has the nerve to say there was an explanation for all of this when there really wasn't considering she told me she did not know why she connected the way she did with me. I wanted to hear that everything about her was a dead lie, nothing, but a pretty face.

10. "All We Are" -- It is an emotional roller-coaster of life. Life Itself can flash right before your very eyes if you don't cease the moment and take flight to reach and achieve your dreams. I wanted her to know that despite being in this, we are artists and as artists our only mission is to make it, and I made it clear that if she reached the top of the mountain, I'd be there to push her off with my achievements.

11. "A Day In December" (Feat. Dineen Laurel) -- My own creation (concerning production as it is my own original), I wanted the album to culminate here because the video was released on her birthday, which was 5 days after mine. I gave a picture of what our birthdays would be, mine would be depressing while she would most likely drink and have her usual sexual romp with Aldeen. In the end, I said it was time to move on and that soon karma would arrive not for me, but for her and when it does, I would be there smiling as the tears flowed from her eyes. It was the rough ending to a chapter in my life that would seem that my character in music was left in limbo, but I feel it was a silent victory for myself personally.

How do you see yourself in the coming years?
As of now, with 2012 here, I have taken the year off from YouTube to pursue other forms of entertainment like mini-films, etc., but also to re-invent my music persona because I feel it has gotten old and I want to give myself a fresh start. I am still working on new music, for example a new 5-Track EP that will be released on iTunes in 2013 and my eventual official album also releasing to iTunes. This year, I plan to look for booking agencies in order to perform at various shows in the near future, but one thing that will remain constant is that I am always honing my skills, so that when I come back next year, I will be better than ever.

Texas, USA. Ramiro Garcia entered the audition room of AMERICAN IDOL with a talent that was not expected due to his hearing problem.

"I wasn't born normal. I came out a bit different. I came out with no ears..." Ramiro said.
He also added, "Doctors gave my parents the worst news: Your son's not gonna be able to hear. He's not gonna be able to speak. You know, he's gonna be mute."

YOUTUBE Finds: The Long Distance Relationship - GO CRY!

Not your usual "long distance relationship" story...

When my friend, Geeman, shared this video, I was like "Oh no... Not another LDR film again please..." You see, I've seen so many LDR videos, and of course you know how the plot would go... Despite knowing the content, the impact of these videos depends on its execution, and most of those I've seen didn't really make me go "Awwww" and more of "Say what?...Whyyyyyyyy did you kill the sweetness...???"

I've seen good and sweet film productions, but this video IS DIFFERENT. Seriously, it's different... At first, I was like "Oh... It's the usual plot...", but when I got to 4 minutes, I found my eyes all blurry and...TEAR TYPHOON TIME!!! You might relate this to a certain film (which I will not say, because I don't want to ruin your moment lol), but how it was incorporated into this storyline made it more "Awwww".

Way before the famous NURSING video, I have already seen her various entertaining videos, which instantly turned me into a subscriber with a question of "Why is she still not getting discovered?" Finally, a few months later, her cool and humorous personality caught a lot of attention through her "Why Nursing, Anna?" video, which enlightened the many about what nursing students go through in the funniest way of delivery ever.

A fellow nurse, Anna spoke for the community with wit and humor, that made everyone look at nursing in a whole different light-- a cooler and more awesome light that is. With Philippines being a country full of nurses, many people can relate to what she was saying, making her video spread like bushfire. This led her to further video productions and TV appearances, and she even became the winner of the CGEStar show on CGETV, making her a CGETV VJ.

When did you start Youtube?

- Sometime in high school, I made an account, which kind of explains the username. Haha! But I only started making videos around May 2011.

Why did you decide to finally share your videos online?

- When my good friend Sab aka MissCoryPotts "guested" me on one of her beauty vlogs, she kept telling me about how people thought I was funny, and how some would even say I should have my own channel. Guess that, plus a lot of coercing from her finally pushed me to publish a few videos.

How long have you been producing videos (even outside the online world) ?

- I tried making some on Facebook! Can't find them now though. Like, this one time, I ranted about how stupid Pet Society is. Guess ranting was already in my system way back in high school!

How did you come up with your username?

- I have a long-ass name. Anna Karanina Francesca. And it sounds so colonial/periodic, so I decided to give myself a title. Baroness sounded like an old lady, Duchess and Lady sounded too stuck-up. Countess felt just right. Although I'd give anything now to change my username to "AnnaTantrum" just so it goes with my rants... and every other social network I have now.

What kind of videos do you do?

- Like I said, mostly comedic ranting. I've done rap covers too, and right now, there's one ballad. I don't know, just to share some of the other talents I think I have.

Where do you get your inspiration when it comes to making these videos?

- I've always admired itskingsleybitch's videos on YouTube. He's hilarious yet sensible. I had mad respect for him. When I started my channel, I tried to do what all the other Filipinas did on YouTube: makeup. But I felt awkward every single time I'd do a girly video. Comedy/ranting just felt more natural, plus I get to make people happy. Now THAT's rewarding.

What is your BEST VIDEO that will summarize what you can offer?

- I think my semi-viral "Why Nursing Anna?" video pretty much sums up who I am - not just online, but in real life. In there, people identified me as a registered nurse, and I got to talk about the funny yet tough experiences in Nursing, as well as show my compassionate side.

What is your overall goal in terms of video production? Do you want to fully pursue this career?

- I don't really have any specific goals, nor do I see a distinct career path in this, but I'm pretty much content with just being able to reach out to people from all walks of life, even all over the globe - especially my beloved fellow Filipinos. Although, lately, I did win Cge Star Season 1 on ABS-CBN's CGE TV because of videos I made according to weekly themes. I guess that counts as a career to pursue, since I just won myself my own show to be a VJ in.

Any message for the viewers?

- Basically, I'm just grateful for all of the support. Without them and all of their kind words and unwavering support, I wouldn't even bother making more videos. I'm where I am today thanks to my viewers, family and friends. God bless all of you!

Goodbye 2011 ... Hello 2012 !

Before I read and reflect on my year-ender post from last year, I'll just say a few words.

I can't believe that it has been a year! Looking back, I've been through a lot of ups and downs, but everything ended well, because the downs brought me positive realizations as to why they happened. In other words, I still gained positive learnings and experiences no matter what.

In January 2011, I moved here to Sydney, but the transition was fast and smooth. I gained new friends and had a better relationship with those I already know. I also encountered so many people and situations, and they brought me new learnings.

2011 was all about making me learn how it is to be more independent, and at the same time, how to have fun along the way. I enjoyed 2011, and I can't wait for whatever 2012 is bringing me.

Going back to my last year's post, I still believe in the things I said:

2011 will be better. I just know it.

Too confident? More of just being positive. You cannot go through a year without the downs, but I know that they will help in pulling you up for further ups. I believe that everything is a blessing, as long as we have the patience to see the good things that all events bring, especially those which we consider "negative". A certain event may be negative now, but after some time, something better comes which would have never happened if it wasn't for "the bad" past.

Now let me just say that 2012 will be more amazing. I JUST KNOW IT.

I want to wish everyone a GREATER and HAPPIER NEW YEAR! Let's all be excited as to what 2012 will be bringing us! = ) Spread love and peace! Thank you for being part of my life and for continuously being a blessing to me! =)

Problems and Happiness

Problems. What a way to starting a heavy topic. I simply stated the word: "problems", and I don't know why I seem to just be cool with saying "simply". Is it because that is how I want my perspective to be towards problems?

Problems are either within or outside our control. Either way, they cause us negative emotions, and as I always say in my previous posts, WE HAVE A CHOICE. We can choose to linger on and continuously feel dreadful, or we can choose to just stay down for awhile, then move on.

Moving on is not an easy task. We have all been there, especially if everything seems to be hopeless. However, there are problems that are really simple, but become complicated and bring hopelessness just because of thinking too much about controlling it. Let me give a not-so-complicated problem, yet still bothered me, because it was a preventable situation that I could have controlled. On the 24th of December, I woke up, and saw my laptop's screen cracked. It broke my heart and made me feel down for almost half of my day. I felt bad because 1) I know I could have been careful. I know it's because I quickly closed my laptop's lid without checking if something was between it and the keyboard. Apparently, I didn't notice one part of my headset within the gap. This was totally preventable. 2) Of course, it will cost me a lot, and I'll be paying for something that I could have prevented.

Upon looking back, I can just laugh at how much I wasted my day by worrying. I was stuck with the idea of blaming myself. Look how I kept saying "I could have prevented it." and "I'm paying for something I could have prevented." But seriously, what can that kind of thinking do? It's done. Lesson learned. That was meant to happen, so that I won't do it next time. Cliche? Well, isn't it true? We need a constant reminder.

Move on and try to fix it, especially if it's fixable. If you can't fix it, what's the point of worrying? You can't control the fixing part, but you can control the worrying part. You always have a choice, especially when it comes to happiness. Now, whatever your beliefs are, let go of all your worries and let that someone or something powerful take over and heal you. It takes time, but someday, when you reach something really satisfying, you'll look back and say, "Oh… That's why THAT problem happened!"

I've always thought of problems as blessings. They may get depressing, but along the process, they get you somewhere, and it's your choice if you want to use them as your driver to getting you to wherever you want to be. If you don't use them, you get stuck, because problems are mainly there to push you further.

As for my laptop, I talked to my dad about it, and he reminded me to stop worrying. He knew that I knew these things, but I still needed a reminder, especially when I'm caught up with my emotions. He reminded me that worrying is pointless, and if I do that, I'll just make myself suffer more, when obviously I can easily just have it repaired. I stopped blaming myself (because that was what was blocking me from solving a simple problem), and relaxed for 1 hour. After my relaxation session, I looked for an authorized repair centre. Oh goodie! I found one reliable centre that does screen replacements for less than 24 hours and for a cheaper price. Oh and did I mention that I worried too much to not see that the crack just happened to the outer glass screen and not the display screen itself? That is already a relief. =) Obviously, worrying makes even the simplest things more complicated.

Pray, then smile! =) When you think you're alone, think again, because there's always that SOMEONE out there who greatly cares for you, and will remind you that HE will never let you go. It's all about your choice of perspective and faith. God bless and stay happy! =)

She was my favorite member, and I would look forward to her singing segment. I even bought an ANG TV cassette tape when I was only 5 years old, and would play her song over and over again. I then saw her through Gimik, and it was there that I first saw MARVIN AGUSTIN. I believe I was only 8 or 9 years old that time, but I got influenced by my cousins, Ate Che & Ate Tin, in loving their TV show, and later on, their LOVE TEAM. I must admit that Marvin was one of my celebrity crushes before, and was happy that he got teamed up with my favorite Pinay actress/singer.

Even after their love team ended, I still followed them, still updated with the success they are attaining, even outside the showbiz world.

We all know that JOLINA MAGDANGAL has been known for her KIKAY outfits and unique HAIRSTYLES-- with the infamous bangs all the way! She made a fashion statement with her updos and butterfly clips, and her creativity and fashion sense made their influential ways through her own business, giving her more success in other aspects of her life. I will never forget her segment with Korina Sanchez, wherein she spoke about her CELPHONE COLLECTION. She never sells her old phones--she just keeps them, so that she can look back at the phones she once used. Because of this segment, I did the same. See how influential she got ! =p

Just like Jolina, MARVIN AGUSTIN was also considered to be one of the most successful celebrity entrepreneurs, and I admire him so much for getting to where he is now. I know that he studied and worked hard for this, and all his efforts paid off. Before I moved here to Sydney, I made sure that I would be able to visit my favorite restaurant, which is owned by Marvin, called "Sumo Sam". My mom and I love their CHICKEN TERIYAKI. I love how it is paired up with their salad, which has a tangy taste. You seriously MUST TRY this! I also used to pair it up with BROWN RICE--talk about flexibility for the health-conscious ones! =)

I know that this is a long post, but I believe that JOLINA and MARVIN deserve this. I love them a lot, and I have always wanted to share to the world how awesome these two are! Aside from admiring them for their talent in acting, I must say that I consider them as the MOST INFLUENTIAL CELEBRITIES in my list, because they are a true inspiration of success. They did not just depend on one aspect (acting), but they also ventured out, making use of everything they have to reach their overall goals. They are a great example and they inspire me. I have always been a fan of Jolina Magdangal & Marvin Agustin, and yes, I still follow them. I know the lines to their famous movies, and I've been called "Bujoy" a few times before. "ANG TV: The Movie", "FLAMES", "Gimik", "Hey Babe" and "Labs Kita... Okey Ka Lang", are some of their movies, and among these, I enjoyed "Labs Kita... Okey Ka Lang" the most.

-At first, it was never easy to decide whether to share your videos online or not. I made a few experiments or rather be called Survey’s on Facebook to let me think about sharing my videos online. I shared it first on Facebook and after getting a lot of good feedbacks I thought there’s nothing wrong if I make it more formal and bring those videos on YouTube and try my luck! And since I have this “Big Dream” that I call, I thought YouTubing is a good way to try your luck to get noticed. I feel like it’s good to share your passion while having your studies in the real world!

How long have you been producing videos (even outside the online world)?
-I love making videos since I was a child! I got these inspirations through animated videos or cartoons and even on movies. I can’t recall when was the exact date where I started making random videos but I think it was when we have school projects about making music videos, movies or other stuffs. High School for me was really a way to discover a lot of things about you and the things you mostly love to do in the future! When it comes to my YouTube Videos, I’m almost at my 9th month of making covers and 1st month to try VLOGGING!

How did you come up with your username?
-This question for me is funny! Haha! My “24sims16” username on YouTube originated from my Birth Date which is the 24th of June, my ever favorite simulation game The “Sims” and “16” was actually the day when my first girlfriend answered YES. Hahaha! Bulgaran na to!

What kind of videos do you do?
-I joined YouTube mainly because I want to share my singing through Covers! It sometimes depends when I do it Live, Recorded Version or sometimes with just a Lyrics Video with my Voice at the background. But I have added some other stuffs now on my Channel like my “What is the meaning of this?” Series of Vlogs where I talk random thoughts about something. And other stuffs

Where do you get your inspiration when it comes to making these videos?
-My inspiration in making videos are those famous YouTubers like my Super Crush Christina Grimmie! I also made a special cover for her since she totally inspires me that dreams do come true! She also started as a YouTuber and does Music Covers, but now, she’s big! That story for me is just so magical. There are still a lot of YouTubers that inspires me but nothing beats those people who loves what you’re doing. These are my family who takes time to watch my video even if my shy while they’re doing it! HAHAHA! My awesome friends and even those people who I don’t know personally but appreciates my work so much. I would like to thank you too, Ate Steph! Im glad I meet you! You’re really great!

BEST VIDEO that will summarize what you can offer?
-I think that my best video would be my Live Rendition of Charice song One Day. Because this is the 1st time where I have experienced my dream job of performing in front of a thousand people! This was the time where I was invited to perform because of Youtube. This taught me that to be able to make your dreams come true, you must be the one to do it first and just let God do the other. This video is a combination of my future dream job and an inspiration to everyone who has big dreams!

What is your overall goal in terms of video production? Do you want to fully pursue this career?
-Well, my goal in producing videos is to inspire and entertain people most especially in our country. That no matter who you are, if you have this chance to share what God has blessed you then why wouldn’t you not try to. I believe that everybody can be somebody in their own little ways. And personally, I hope that with YouTube, I hope to get known also in my own very little way. That people would appreciate each video that I’d produce, no matter how random it is. As long as there are people who keep on believing on me, I will never ever stop in producing these stuffs. I know I have these haters but these are just challengers to me.

-I've been producing videos ever since I discovered editing videos using Windows Media Maker. That's about 6 years from now. I find it stress-relieving and fun, and later on, mastered it. Then I go online to look for more, more, more video editing softwares and there you go... BOOOM!

-"LloydCafeCadena2"-- actually, that's my full name, including my maiden's name "Cafe", then number "2" stands for being my 2nd Channel. Hindi po masyadong halata. x)

What kind of videos do you do?
-Back in the day, I would create parody videos, small skits... Now, I Have an online radio series called: "LC-Radio", and my comic vlog: "LC-Learns", and Planning to do more genre SOOON! PAK! ~

Where do you get your inspiration when it comes to making these videos?
-All of my videos are based on experiences-- from parodies to LC-Learns... it's all about me and all the people around me. Some notes are influenced by Melai Monteveros, especially her comic show: "Melai Mo Mag-Work" in "Banana Split", Vice Ganda's prank jokes, and my family ~ especially yung mga punto ng salita ko (my accent)--hawaan dito sa bahay eh! Kami kase yung tipo ng pamilya na mahilig kumanta, kahit yung simpleng sentence nilalagyan ng tono ... BOOM! Hit na agad.. Mahilig din kami sa mga terms na kami lang ang may knows. -Hmm. All of them for me are the BEST, simply because I'm the one responsible for them.
But the one with the highest views will be, I guess for the viewers, will be my BEST BONGGANG VIDEO ever and this is "LC-Learns #10: Crush mo ko, crush kita.. Ano na?"

The fact that this is all about my experience of having a crush is a BONGGANG FACTOR na...
As of now, it gathered 60,000+ views already after the 1st month of releasing it. Such an achievement for me and I'm very happy to have the greatest and the BEST people around who helped me a lot with the promotion.

What is your overall goal in terms of video production? Do you want to fully pursue this career?
-Hmm. My forever goal is to maintain or better say improve the quality of my videos. I want my viewers to stay with me forever and I hope that they will never get bored watching my videos. Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna are OFFICIALLY Dating

Everyone seems to be buzzing around about this new couple, whose names have already been mentioned in the title. Yes, Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna are official, according to their close friend who opened it up to Ricky Lo 's Funfare.

Vic Sotto is known to have dated Pia Guanio, a fellow Eat Bulaga host, who is now married to Steve Mago. Pauleen is also an Eat Bulaga host, and this news somehow surprised a lot of people. The most obvious reason why people seem to have been reacting so much is the age difference--with around 30 years of gap. But in this generation, it seems like age is no longer an issue. The society is already adjusting to accept such couples, especially with the media continuously delivering news about celebrities who are in a relationship like this. In fact, we're starting to get immuned to this. I dated Orlando Bloom--so, what's the matter? (Oh, I was just joking about Orlando Bloom... or was I? :P )

Anyway, to me, Pauleen seems really happy, despite the number of negative views about their relationship. I'm pretty much sure that people will be more observant when it comes to seeing this couple on- and off-air, and they will be judged a couple of times, until everyone gets used to this new couple. Nonetheless, nobody really knows how much happiness they have and how great their love could probably be for each other. To Vic and Pauleen, I wish you all the happiness and love in the world! <3

Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Blogger, Wordpress, Tumblr, MySpace, Friendster, Google Plus, etc... Almost everyone you meet these days either has an account or opens these pages whenever they have the time. Mobile phones are now produced with applications that integrate these websites, so that everyone is connected anytime, anywhere. Businesses, celebrities, TV shows, banks, products, and many more, are now expected to say "Connect with us via twitter.", "Like our Facebook page for further information.", or "Download our application to gain exclusive access..." It seems that everything must be accessed online if you want to gain further details and connections, making everyone rely on the internet.

Basically, everyone's more connected via the internet these days. We meet more people through online interactions. People get discovered for fame, businesses boom, and even relationships start to form. Honestly, who among you DID NOT GAIN A FRIEND through the internet? Or if not a friend, even just an acquaintance perhaps? Maybe those who are not really a fan of the internet did not, but majority would have been touched by people from the online world.

Why am I writing this? Well, it seems that if I say "Oh I met her through blogging.", some would react differently. Issues like "trustworthiness" come up since "People from the INTERNET" = "Strangers". Well, if we go outside our house, aren't the people around us considered strangers as well? One of them could be a killer, just like how people think of others online. Are you able to trust better, just because you can physically see him/her? It's the same thing. You just don't trust people right away, whether it's in real life or the internet. Sure, many people use alter egos online. You don't really know who they are, and sometimes, you can't even see them. I know this is the difference between real life and the internet. Somehow, in real life, you know more about the person because you know what your connections are, and where you can possibly find that person. But just like the internet, these people you meet in real life can also pretend to be someone else--they have alter egos as well.

The first two are more socially acceptable. The last one seems to struggle. If you think about it, the internet is also a meeting place, since almost everyone uses the internet. You meet all kinds of people, just in real life. I am writing this because I blog and do Youtube. Everyday, I am able to get in touch with many people online. I've been living part of my life on the web because I've been making websites and joining forums since 1999, and I have learned many things about the different personalities you get to meet on the internet. I do not trust right away--whether it's online or in real life. I study people and try to know as much as I can, and if they are believable before accepting them. Also, I know how much of myself I am to expose online. Basically, just know how to keep personal information private.

Let's face it... This generation is all about being connected via the internet. You probably met someone via a friend through Facebook, or blogged about something and someone followed your posts since she can relate and your friendship blossomed, or you probably met someone you used to just watch on Youtube, and you ended up becoming good friends. Again, the internet is also a place where people meet, and the guidelines as to where MORE TRUSTWORTHY people can be found and HOW TO DETECT THEM must still be applied. Just because you're behind the laptop or your mobile phone doesn't mean that responsibilities do not exist anymore. So whether you meet online or offline, you should be ALERT with regards to trusting those you meet. Be smart and don't just trust anyone right away. Interact, but be responsible-- just like in real life.

As a Youtuber under the name " mshypersinger ", I was able to stumble upon a huge number of talents online, and would love to share them here on my blog as well.

For today's spotlight, I found one aspiring video producer from CgeTV & Youtube, who goes by the name of "Oluven". A CGEStar Finalist of CGE.TV, "OrvenGuy" is here to enlighten everyone about finally getting a well-deserved recognition for his talent and skills in entertaining people.

When did you start Youtube?

Oluven: My account was created back in 2006 so I could upload videos for my family to see. I wasn't planning to do anything with it until earlier this year that I discovered the likes of freddiew and the sudden burst of Youtube talents being recognized from everywhere. Then I decided to upload a few of my projects in my channel around June 2011.

Why did you decide to finally share your videos online?

Oluven: After I graduated AB Multimedia Arts in Asia Pacific College, I realized that I have the resources (though not many) to create content for the internet audience. Then I joined some video making contests including the online talent search CGE Star which started September 2011. You can catch CGE Star every Sunday 8:30pm on www.cge.tv and Skycable CH72 in the Philippines. So far, I have been uploading my CGE Star weekly tasks on my channel so more could see it.

How long have you been producing videos?

Oluven: I've been producing videos both professionally and non professionally ever since I was a college student. I majored in 3D Animation, but being a confused person as I was, I wasn't really sure which path to take until I realized that video production is the best outlet for my creative skills and talents.

How did you come up with your username?

Oluven: I used to be a big otaku back in highschool. When I decided for my username, I just made fun of my name Orven and Japanised it (is that even a word?) to "Oluven" because the Japanese can't pronounce the letter R.

What kind of videos do you make?

Oluven: A variety of stuff. Depending on my mood. Mostly I display my technical knowledge on my videos. Use of special effects with added humor and fun! Though sometimes I also like to make them heavy or dramatic. Like I said, it all depends on my creative mood.

Last Sunday, KC Concepcion was interviewed by Boy Abunda with regards to her breakup with Piolo Pascual. This interview has been really controversial, as she cried and revealed what really happened. I was just fixing my things, when a college friend suddenly texted me from the Philippines to randomly rant about the issue. I was confused as to what he was talking about, until he told me that KC was crying and he was narrating everything to me.

Anyway, yesterday, an interesting reaction video was uploaded by Youtube's JAWSHORTEASE, and just to lighten up the issue, he gave out an inspiring message in the most entertaining way, alongside his sister, Monica.

Julep Nail Polish -- New Addiction ?

" The Girl with the Red Nail Polish " ... People notice my nails all the time, especially if they're red. It is as if it is my second trademark, right after my crazy and wild hair.

I am addicted to nail polish -- any kind! I try and test according to how the color actually turns up on my nails (they have to have a good relationship) , the consistency, and how long they would last.

I recently stumbled upon this brand called JULEP (http://www.julep.com/) and they have an amazing set of nail polish products! If I am right, they have more than 60 shades to choose from, covering a wide range of colors.

If you go to their website, and look at all the nail colors, I'm pretty sure you will be having a hard time choosing which one to buy, especially if you're a nail polish addict like me.

I love any shades of purple, pink, orange, and red, as they seem to be more compatible with my skin tone. From their catalogue, my eyes are on Niecy (bright pink), Natasha (intense orange), Salma (fire-engine red), Mandy (deep coral-pink), Sandra (frosted magenta), and Brooklyn (ruby red with sparkles), which I think would be perfect for the Christmas season!

Thanksgiving : Overall Gratitude

I stumbled upon this old post of mine just now, which has a list of what I wanted to have that year. It has been more than a year now, and seeing this post made me smile, because I can't believe I managed to have not only one, but both of these cameras (they were both gifts) without me really remembering I had such a wishlist. I forgot I even made that post! (By the way, I am now giving away the other camera, because I only need one... I hope I granted someone else's wish!)

However, I am not here to talk about material things. This is just an interesting example of us not knowing that we have already received what we have actually wished for before (subconsciously or not), without us really remembering we did make that wish.

It's THANKSGIVING DAY today, and I have so many blessings to thank God for! Looking back, some of the simple things or events which I may have not noticed before, turned out to be part of a huge blessing. We take certain things, situations, and people for granted, yet they are placed there because they are the keys to the ultimate gift. We also make wishes, and it's either we have already received them and did not notice them, or we may not have received them, but we have received something better.

I own a GRATITUDE journal, where I place all of the blessings I want to receive, and also write what I have received so far. I opened it recently, and I am very overwhelmed that I have received so many blessings.

People might say, "I envy you. You have so many blessings."

All I can say back is, "Well, look at what you have and where you are right now. You've been blessed with many things as well! You got your family, friends, opportunities, and even you, yourself, are a blessing to all of us." (Yesss lalem.)

Everyone has so many things to thank for! And not everyone has what others have, because we have our own aspirations, values, philosophy, beliefs, personalities, goals, etc. Comparing what we do not have to what others have would do us no good, because we're meant to have what we have and we will have according to our own desires and dreams.

So I would like to thank God, and everyone who has touched my life.

I stumbled upon this really cute video on Youtube, and this is a cute and funny one, because of the dramatic music background that seems to sympathize with the adorable dog. I won't spoil the video to you guys, but I'm sure you know how an obedience food test goes. However, the twist here is how the video owner combined all the elements into making a really watch-worthy video.

Train Fatality in Beverly Hills, Sydney

November 16, 2011, Wednesday, Beverly Hills, New South Wales. I was on my way to school, and when I got to the North Shore Line, I heard about some train delays. Now, to be able to go the North Shore Line, I use the Airport & East Hills Railway Line.

I went to school earlier than usual, so I didn't have any delays. However, my friend went to school 1 hour after me, and when we saw each other, she asked me if I heard about the fatality along our railway line. I said that I didn't know, because I went earlier than the incident. She said that the announcer at the station said, "Due to a fatality at Beverly Hills, all trains are suspended until further notice..."

Because of this incident, the passengers had to change lines and use buses.

According to theleader.com.au and some tweets, the person, who got hit by a train and died, was most likely a guy.

No updates yet as to what exactly happened.

So I have been making frustrated Westlife fan videos and blog posts the past few months, and who would have thought that despite the fact that I was not able to see Westlife this year since I just moved to Australia (and we're not included in their tour :( ), I would bump into Brian McFadden !? Yes, my first Westlife crush when I was 9 years old. What a great way to end the year when I started out being so sad that I couldn't watch Westlife this year in the Philippines during their Gravity Live Tour 2011 in Manila !?

It's actually a funny and embarrassing moment when I met him and his girlfriend, Vogue Williams, at the Blackberry Music Launch event on November 3, 2011 at the Telstra Shop in Sydney, Australia. Watch the video below to know the full story. LOL.

Just so we can be clear why this moment is so important to me, I'll explain my FUNNY WESTLIFE HISTORY.

- Between 1998-1999, I learned about Westlife and it was due to the fact that I saw BRIAN on MTV ASIA that I got hooked to the band. I would replay and replay his "shouting part" in their song "If I Let You Go" right after the bridge part of the song.

- I created a Westlife website at the age of 10. I joined Westlife webrings and I discovered Westlife discussion boards.

- I started collecting official and unofficial books, magazines, posters, postcards, dolls (lol), stickers, VCDs, keychains, etc. I would buy 3 copies of their albums--both cassette tape and CD.

- I created a better Westlife website at the age of 12 and it was called "Fragile... Mark" because Mark Feehily became my next favorite member! <3

- I watched their two concerts when they were still complete. I even wrote them letters. LOL. My dad originally chose a seat next to the side of the stage, but I said I would like to stay in the middle. Well guess what...? ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS! Hahaha! KIAN jumped down the stage and went to the seats that my dad originally picked.

- I got one classmate in trouble because I placed this Westlife sign on the front of my seat and when we were having a quiz, my classmate noticed my sign and my teacher thought she was cheating. LOL.

- I had many Westlife groups. LOL.

- I made my parents a fan of Westlife.

- Almost everyone who knew me from my childhood days remembers me as the ULTIMATE WESTLIFE FAN. LOL. Forever attached to my name.

and the list goes on... So you can just see that I grew up with Westlife and I was waiting for them to come back when I was still in the Philippines last year. THEY FINALLY CAME, but they visited when I moved here to Australia. Great. So I made a video for them. LOL.

It's just ironic how my childhood Westlife dreams finally became a reality when they decided to split up.

However, I am thankful because this is a proof that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE-- you just have to wait ... =) I am happy. Really. Thank YOU Lord for this wonderful gift! I started off sad but ended this year with a smile because of this unexpected encounter.

Thanks again to everyone who had been really supportive! I know I don't look as crazy as the teenagebopper Steph (lol), but I am still a Westlife fan deep inside. I'm just older. LOL. Thanks again. Yes, now you know... Now you know that I am a Westlife fan. :P You just know the Orlando Bloom part haha! :P

Steve Jobs Will Be Missed ; Died at 56

Steve Jobs has passed away at the age of 56.

He is an icon of success. He has changed and developed our technology to the point that the competitors are having a hard time beating his innovations. Almost everyone has been touched by this amazing man.

The first time that I saw a Mac was when I was 9 years old. I was already a PC user that time, but my attention was caught by that APPLE icon. However, I only started using Apple products when I was in highschool--when the first generation of iPods came out. Dad bought me one and I was like "What's this?..." That started to change everything.

College came and I needed a laptop. Dad saw this student promo from Apple and as a birthday gift, he gave me a Macbook that had an iPod nano as a partner. I was not that happy with my Macbook because I was a PC user, but after some time, I started loving it. I was able to create wonderful projects with it such as songs and videos. Although I can do it with a PC, I became comfortable with Mac.

Until now, I am using Apple products, mainly because of the accessible applications and amazing features. I love Windows too and have lived 3/4 of my life using it, but I got used to Mac that it became my partner in all of my projects.

Apple has definitely created a big impact. It's hard NOT to see anyone using an Apple product--even the fake ones with the Apple logo. Also, Steve Jobs has been an inspiration. He is the image of success, and he has been a blessing to many.

May you rest in peace. You will be missed. Thank you for being part of my life.

Aswang - Twilight Pinoy Version ?

I stumbled upon one of Regal Entertainment's teasers and this one is entitled "ASWANG" which stars Lovie Poe, Paulo Avelino, Jillian Ward, Albie Casino, Mark Abaya, Nina Jose, Joem Bascon, Bembol Rocco, and Lara Quigaman ...

Anyway, I haven't seen this yet, but based on the trailer, there's that "love component" and the choices that the "aswang" should make--which made me compare it to TWILIGHT. To the foreigners who are reading this, an ASWANG is like how you guys have VAMPIRES and such, hence, I was able to compare it to Twilight.

Compared to other ASWANG movies, this one is definitely different. I hope I could watch this soon though.

Has anyone seen this? What do you think? And oh yeah... DO YOU BELIEVE IN ASWANGS?

Rebecca Black in SYDNEY ! Photo + Video

So I was shopping mindlessly on a sunny and windy day in Sydney, when my cousin-in-law retweeted to me that Rebecca was performing a few blocks away from where I was. LOL. I know that yesterday, I posted about her gig (click to view the post) but there were no details given until earlier this day. I am assuming that this was due to a few reasons:
1) Since it was a launch and it was too open, security control would be easier with less people. (...but it's a launch so shouldn't u invite more people? lol)
2) To not give her haters enough time for them to plan something for her ?

I am not a Rebecca Black hater. I love her. And since I was already within the area, I decided to drop by and watch. I also recorded the whole performance.

She performed two songs: "Friday" (awkward that she performed this on a Tuesday hahaha) and "My Moment" ...

Really short performance actually. She opened the launch, so two songs were enough. Afterwards, there was a great dance performance, and of course the launching of Telstra's 4G service. Free music was also offered!

I didn't have photos with her, but at least I had shots with her (... but... I'm like... her background.LOL). Haha!

Last September 22, 2011, Rebecca Black released a Youtube video, saying that she is coming to Australia via Telstra's sponsorship.

She wasn't joking. She has been spotted earlier this day in Bondi, and there are no details yet as to where and when her performance is going to be. Man... You release this vid and we have no idea where you are performing? =\ Anyway, I shall look for further info.

Ilang beses na 'yan tumunog sa'yo kahit na wala ka namang binili o kinuha? Minsan, papasok ka pa lang eh tumutunog na--parang gustong sabihin sa'yo na "HOY EXCUSE ME BAWAL ANG MGA TAONG TULAD MO RITO DAHIL MUKHA KANG MAGNANAKAW!" ?

Ako. Ako. Lagi nalang ako. Laging tumutunog sa'kin mga yan, kahit sa airport. Nakakakaba nga eh. Dati iniisip kong baka braces ko lang 'yung dahilan ng pagtunog ng mga detector. Nung tinanggal na braces ko, wala na ang alibi ko. Alam ko naman na minsan eh parang may PMS 'yung mga alarm na 'yan. Baka mataas lang sensitivity niya sa mga radiation waves o ano mang umaalingasaw sa katawan. Dumadating sa point na kapag pumasok ako sa shop at tumunog na agad 'yung alarm, sinasabi ko sa sarili ko na dapat lumabas akong may nabili para wala nang masabi.

Kanina pumasok ako sa isang sports shop. Hindi naman tumunog 'yung alarm nila. Lumabas din akong may bitbit at hindi pa rin tumunog. Nung pumasok na ako sa grocery, nagbabayad na ako at anlakas pa ng loob ko na tumabi sa security guard. Syempre confident akong hindi naman ako masamang tao. Nagbabayad ako sa tabi ng guard at nang palabas na ako sa alarm na katabi ng guard...

Ayun... Lumabas akong may nabiling tatlong bagay. Grabe. Yan na siguro uso ngayon--gamitin ang alarm para mapilitan nalang bumili 'yung mga customers. Hahahaha. Anyway, pagkabayad ko, lumabas ako nang sobrang bilis ng shop at pumikit, humihiling na sana hindi tumunog.

Napatingin sila. Napatingin pati 'yung guard dun sa grocery na pinanggalingan ko kanina. HINDEH. HINDI NYO AKO MAPAPABILI. TUMIGIL KAYO!

Binilisan ko ang lakad ko para ayusin ang mga pinamili ko dahil naparami. Nahulog ako sa kapangyarihan ng mahiwagang alarm system. Naloko niya ako. Nilinlang! ... Nah... Gusto ko rin naman mga pinamili ko haha!

Nang inayos ko na mga pinamili ko para ipasok sa backpack ko, nakita ko na yung binili ko kanina sa sports shop ay may magic hangers na may nakadikit na pang-alarm sa detectors. HAYNAKO. Hindi nya tinanggal! Kahit na hindi na siya nadetect ng sarili nilang sports shop, nadetect naman siya ng halos lahat ng shops na pinasukan ko.

Sa babaeng nag-pack ng mga pinamili ko sa sports shop, LUGI KAYO. Mas napabili ako ron sa mga nagpa-alarm ng iba't ibang security system dahil sa hanger at detector ninyo. Harharhar. =p

Lourdes, France: Foot Accident--I'm Sorry!

I always have some misadventures whenever I travel. Some are funny, some are interesting, and some are just... bringing me... guilty feelings.

To give justice to the original purpose of my blog (which was to post unique and interesting personal travel stories), I shall share one of those starting now.

In 2004, we went on a Pilgrimage Tour which included Amsterdam, France, Portugal, Spain, and Italy. This was for my mom, because she just survived breast cancer.

One of the places we visited was Lourdes, France. This was a special place for us. First of all, my birthday is on Lourdes Day-- February 11. Secondly, my second name (which I shall not disclose here haha :P ) has something to do with this place. Thirdly, dad has been to that place when I was 2 years old, and promised to go back there with the whole family. Lastly, mom once had a dream wherein she was in Lourdes, France. So basically, that place was the highlight. We also wanted to go there because we would like mom to experience the well-known Holy Bath.

I enjoyed it. It uplifted me, and I felt serenity.

To be able to experience the Holy Bath, you have to wake up early in the morning and go to the Grotto to offer prayers and praises. Afterwards, you have to line up, and believe me, you really have to go early. The line can get really long. We were there at 5AM. The photo below shows me in my early morning face. I was 15. Yay! You get to see a teenager photo of me. :P

just in case I get the question again.

Basically, people go there to be healed whether it is due to physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual purposes. Where does my story start? Sadly, it all starts right when I arrived at the Grotto at 5AM. It was really dark, except for the candles at the site (check photo above). Just upon arrival, I accidentally stepped backward with my sneakers and I heard a loud cry. It was a painful cry. It came from an old lady, who was being assisted by someone. She was wearing slippers. She was having a hard time walking, and now she was crying in pain because I accidentally stepped on her. My automatic response was hug her and say sorry. I tried saying "sorry" in all the languages I know, because she wasn't speaking in English. Just imagine me hugging her and saying sorry for how many times. I really felt guilty, and told her I had to go (because the group I was in was about to leave) and that I was really sorry. She did not look at me and continued saying something I could not understand. However, she did nod, and I do hope it was a way of saying "It's alright."

I know it was an accident, but it got me so bad that I can still remember everything now because of the fact that she went there to get healed for a sickness she may have, then suddenly, an overweight 15-year-old girl accidentally stepped on her fragile and almost bare foot. Hayayay... I included her in my prayers that day, and until now, I still remember her.

On the other hand, please be careful. Always.

And if you ever get a chance, it is good to visit Lourdes. Setting the differences in religion aside, people of different religions still visit this place, and this amazes me. Peace and blessings to everyone!

Amazon's New Android Kindle : 7-inch Tablet

So I just bought Kindle 3 last Thursday via Amazon and I'm expecting it to arrive this week. The news came out today that a newer version is coming out by the end of November, but really, I think I'm still happy with my about-to-arrive Kindle.

So what's new!?
A man named MG Siegler posted on TechCrunch.com, saying that he has seen and played with the newest addition to the Kindle family. He was not allowed to post photos, but he gave details as to how the new Kindle looks like.

- 7-inch tablet (Kindle 3 is just 6-inch)
- Touch screen (two-finger multi-touch)
- No physical buttons
- WiFi-only (Kindle 3 has both the WiFi and 3G/WiFi version)
- Colored
- Runs Android
- with Kindle app book reader, Amazon's Cloud Player for a music player, and Amazon's Android Appstore for applications store
- No GOOGLE app
- Has a carosel that displays your stuff (like on iTunes--the album art which you flick through)
- No camera

The difference between Kindle 3 and this newer version is of course THE TOUCH SCREEN and the availability of COLOR DISPLAY. Kindle 3 relies on e-ink so it's black and white. Now, why would I still want the older version? No, I am not bitter. Haha. The thing is, it's no iPad, so if you want something that has the iPad features, go buy an iPad. If you just want something for reading purposes, I think I'm already satisfied with Kindle 3. Of course, we all have different tastes. As for me, since I am planning to get an iPad, I might as well just settle with Kindle 3.

Also, I like the fact that Kindle 3 has physical buttons for turning pages. Based on the report, the newer version is still not smooth in terms of turning pages via touch. I hope they get to fix it though! Of course, if there's a Kindle that has both the physical buttons and the touch feature, I would love that.

In addition, the battery life is important to me. I'm just after the reading feature. Kindle 3's battery can last up to 2 months if the WiFi is off. Of course, this newer version will have a lesser time of battery life because of all the new features. Once again, I'm just after the reading feature. If you're not, then this tablet is already good with all the new features.

It only costs $250.00-- not bad! With all those new features that are iPad-like, I'll definitely buy it. However, I also like Kindle 3, and I think I'm already okay with it.

Next year, Amazon plans to release a 10-inch version, and I bet it will be the King of all eBook readers. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us!

Yeah... I used to not like Kindle, because I prefer reading books in paperback form. However, since I like to sometimes read while I'm travelling and I tend to read plenty of books, I think having this gadget is worth it.

Just earlier this year, people lined up for like almost forever just to get their hands on that wonderful iPad 2. A few months later, rumor started to spread regarding an early release of the newer iPad, a.k.a. iPad 3, within this year.

It is known that the iPad 3 will have the high resolution retina display. However, there had been issues with regards to suppliers not being able to satisfy Apple's demand of high-resolution displays. This caused the company to cancel the 2011 release, and pursue for earlier 2012.

The rumors originally flew when newer tablets started to come out, and Apple, being a competitive company, was thought of to satisfy demands and compete well in the market. Then again, it is much better to delay things for a better product quality with lesser issues, than to release early with thousands of complaints flying in.

Filipina Westlife Fan Video Gets Noticed by MARK of WESTLIFE - FINALLY! (For Manila Gravity Tour 2011)

Finally! The FILIPINO WESTLIFE FAN PLEAD VIDEO I posted last week got noticed today by Mark Feehily of Westlife! I didn't really expect he would notice my tweet after a bit of tweet attempts the past few days by me and many of the amazing Westlife fans. Today, I just randomly tweeted and went offline. When I got back, BOOM! MARK RETWEETED THE VIDEO!

The story of the video is about me being a huge Westlife fan for 13 years. During those years, I've been collecting many Westlife stuff, gushing over small Westlife updates, imagining Mark as my boyfriend, and seen two of their concerts in the Philippines (when Brian was still in the group). So basically, I'm one of those obsessed teenagers back then. I even ran a website called "Fragile...Mark" and became a moderator of some Westlife forums. (Creepy? No... Just the teeny fangirl those days haha!) Last year, I've been tweeting Westlife to visit Asia. Well... They are indeed coming this year!!! The sad side is-- I just left the Philippines and I'm now in Australia.

In the video, I am singing my heart out to express my sadness over the fact that I can not be home at the time that Westlife will be performing in Manila (Gravity Tour 2011) on September 29, 2011. The reason why I can not go home is because I have classes here, so yes, "If only I could... fly back and watch" and I can only dream that "Manila, GOT ME!"

The project that we started working on since January 2011, which got delayed due to my laptop busting out that time and the intense school days that followed, has finally been finalized. I wish I was able to finish this right away, but it's all worth it--I hope?

Glen asked me if I can possibly sing this song and I agreed as it is an honour to work with that guy behind WICKEDMOUTH.COM ! He and his friends composed this song, and Glen did all the instrumental stuff in this version we made.

Sadly, last summer, Caloi--a friend of his--died. This pushed me more to make this song really heartfelt.

SCENARIO 1: MOUNTAIN HIKING (2004)

Highschool ako. Field trip namin eh mag mountain hike. O di ba... Syempre, talagang may risk for injury 'yan! May mga gumulong (hindi ko sasabihin sino--baka mabasa niya haha!), may mga nadapa, at may mga nadulas at nagka-"scratch"habang inaakyat ang mga madudulas at makikitid na daan paakyat ng bundok.

So ako... Umuwi ako ng namamaga ang paa dahil na-twist2x ko ang ankle ko like a pretzel.

Hulaan niyo bakit!!! Bibigyan ko kayo ng 1 minuto para mag-isip bago ko sabihin anong dahilan.

5AM ang meet-up time sa gym ng school namin para sa Grand Mountain Hiking. Madilim-dilim pa. Oras na para sumakay sa bus. Pagbaba ko sa 2-step na stairs ng gym para makapunta sa bus parking, ayun... Bigla lang tumiklop 'yung right ankle ko. Bigla nalang. Magic daw. Haha. Pero seryoso, pagbaba ko lang ng isang step, boom! Tapos akala ko wala lang... Pero napansin ko na habang naglalakad ako, sumasakit lalo tapos namamaga na.

O tapos nag-hiking na. Sobrang sakit na pero magaling ako umarte. Akala mo kung sinong hindi injured. Tapos kelangan naming umakyat sa isang malaking bato sa may waterfalls. Hindi ako nasuportahan ng right foot ko kaya naiimagine niyo ba 'yung nag-ko-crawl si Gollum sa taas ng bato tapos bigla nalang siyang nag-slide down in slow motion pa. GANUN! Para akong 'yung ipis sa CR niyo na gustong umakyat sa wall kaso nadulas pababa kasi may shampoo sa gusto kong akyatin.

Pagkauwi ko--WOAHHH! Anlaki-laki ng paa ko. Ayun... Napansin ng parents ko at binigyan ako ng treatment para gumaling agad.

Ang hilig nila masyado sa aangas-angas 'yung gagawin pero bago pa gawin 'yung kaangas-angas na 'yun, magpapainjury.

To all my foreign readers, this post is in Tagalog, so I am deeply sorry. However, may I introduce to you the wonderful Glentot of Wickedmouth.com ? He's amazing. He has a wicked mouth.

I am so honoured to have met this famous star last October 2010.

Basically, he is asking for a testimonial on his blog right now. I was planning on making a blog post about him (which I'm doing right now), but I almost made a long post as a comment to his BDAY entry there... So... I'll just use that and just add some bonus stuff. Muhahaha!

Friendster? Ikaw nagpauso non noh? Haha ! Anyway... HAPPY BDAY ulet glen! Marami akong gustong sabihin sayo...

Nakikita ko na si Glen na umaali-aligid sa mga blogs nina Jepoy and nadalaw ko na blog nya before. Natakot ako mag-leave ng comment ... Nakakatakot siya e. Parang... wicked. Pero nung nakita ko si Glen sa blog ni Kikilabotz, nagcomment siya at hindi ako sure kung sinabi niya na kamukha ko raw si Miley Cyrus pero basta may comment siya sa picture ko na naging dahilan upang magkaroon ng icebreaker. Dumalaw ulit ako sa blog ni Glen at nag iwan ng comment. Bumalik din siya sa blog ko pero yung mga comments niya e--SUPLADO. HAHAHA! :P Pero sa bagay, neutral nga naman kasi nung mga panahon na yon--serious blog pa ako kasi nga nasa weightloss process pa yung utak ko.

October 2010. Nagkataong may bloggers meet-up sa MOA at napakagaling ng tadhana dahil dun din punta namin ng mga pinsan ko galing airport. Sabog pa ako kasi buong gabi ako nag-edit nung Telephone nga na video ko na nilait-lait ninyo. :P Joke lang. Pero yun nga, literal 15mins lang ba tulog ko non (?) o kung tumagal man, medyo gising-tulog-gising pa rin. Tapos, napadaan ako kena Jepoy. Starstruck ako sa kanila pero eto...Hwaw. Nagulat ako nang nakita ko si Glen dun at laki ng tuwa ko na nakita ko siya. Kasi sikat nga siya e. STARSTRUCK me kasi ito ung sikat na SUPLADO nga. Tapos ... DI NIA AKO KINAKAUSAP. DI NAGSASALITA. Si Jepoy lang salita nang salita. Given naman na yun. Makita mo ba naman toh (CLICK MO PARA MAGULAT) syempre d ka na magugulat na madaldal si Jepoy. I think kaya lang kami naging close e kasi nakita niya ang makulit kong side. Malayo sa tono ng blog ko. Pero alam niya naman 'yung kasaysayan ko sa pagba-blog. Makulit naman talaga kasi ako mag-blog. Kaso dati, may tema talaga tong blog ko. Pero salamat sa mga kakulitan ninyong lahat, medyo kumukulit na rin itong blog ko. Weight Gain After Weight Loss & Jillian Michaels: Ripped in 30

Gained weight? Again? YOU are not alone. I know I've reached my lowest weight ever (102 lbs.), and trust me, it ain't oh-so-awesome. Anyway, I have gained a lot ever since I moved here. But whatever I have gained, I'm now officially in the normal weight range. Yes, I was UNDERWEIGHT before--wayyy underweight. I got addicted to working out with Jillian Michaels that the weight just kept on dropping.

The thing is... I have inspired many people with my weightloss. Now, I'm going to expose the reality that usually happens after getting there and how I am fighting back to help all those who are also in the same situation as mine.

When you get to that weight goal, you have the choice to maintain it or let loose.
I chose to "let loose" last December 2010. Why?

102 lbs. is not my ideal weight, but I was testing how low I can go. The normal weight for me is 120-125lbs. Yeah. After reaching my lowest weight, I started doing workouts that made me bulk up with muscles (I reached 114 lbs.), and then CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR came and I stumbled. I was successful in 2009 when the events came, but why did I lose the fight between December 2010 and January 2011? Maybe because of the fact that I wanted to enjoy a lot with everyone before moving here to Australia? Excuses? LOL.

The change of residency was my total excuse to let loose. I was in a new place, and my routine became different. Getting those workouts into my new daily schedule was somehow uncomfortable to me. There were many changes. I am sure that many of you can relate.

EXCUSES... We love making them. I'm a victim. That's the truth. That's the reality.

When you get there, you start to relax for a bit, then you get swallowed into a complete state of setback.

You start off with "Okay, I'm still at my ideal weight, so I'll just give myself a break today." And you go like that the next day, then the next, then it becomes a habit, and then you're back to your old self. You get too complacent that you're forgetting that you were already changed and now you're going back again.

Well... you have the choice. You are aware.
Are you gonna ignore it and fall down more or are you gonna fight and go back to the REAL YOU?

It took me about 3 months to actually start acting on my weight again. I am a gym member again annnnndddd... JILLIAN MICHAELS is back again and is definitely ON TIME! She has a new workout plan and it still incorporates the 3-2-1 system (3 minutes STRENGTH, 2 minutes CARDIO, and 1 minute ABS), which she used in THE 30-DAY SHRED. I'm actually excited because I have seen great results from her 30-Day Shred series, and now that there will be new routines, I am MOOOOORE motivated. How great can timing get!? She just released it, so I couldn't see many results out there yet. However, I'm going to do this workout to let you know if it worked for me (and I know it will ;) ).

So, to those who have gotten there and are starting to relax a bit, are you with me? I'm fighting against the setback-- I'm going to retrieve my old healthy self back. Are you coming back with me? :)

MUMS Are AweSUM

Wow. Today, we are to celebrate the awesomeness of our mums, but really, we should celebrate EVERYDAY!!! Anyhooooo... <3

It's the first time that I am not celebrating it with my mom because I'm in another dimension--with Legolas-- joke. I'm far from home. =( Because of this, I just decided to sing the song that mom always asks me to sing when I was still in the Philippines. Now that I'm really far, at least she can replay and replay this vid for her to enjoy. Haha! Don't cry though, mom! :P

Mom, thanks for all of the things you taught me. I learned a lot, that's why I am surviving here. :P Hehe! But really, thank you. You've done so much and I am proud to have someone like you. Whenever people say good things about me, I can't help but say "It's because of mom." You're really funny and awesome, but of course you're strict when needed. I am happy that I understood your points and I am really proud to say that "I am applying all of my learnings from the great Mrs. Traveliztera." hahaha! :P

I love you mom! I'm happy you were the chosen one for me. Haha!

Sa totoo lang, matagal ko na tong sinasabi kay Glentot. Bago dumating si Traveliztera, iba ang naging palayaw ko sa mundo ng blogosperyo. Circa Greenpinoy (hindi na gumagana blog niya... =( ) ako. Kumbaga, ka-batch ko sina Gasul. Sa totoo lang, Tagalog ako magsalita sa mga blogs ko dati. Oo, matagal na ako sa mundo na ito (Malamang! Matagal na akong ipinanganak e. Haha!). Okay, seryoso na. Gusto ko lang kasi magkwento ng mga "misadventures" (click mo kung gustong makakita ng kadiri) ko sa paglalakwatsa tulad ni Dora the Explorer. Laging may bloopers e. Kaso ginawa kong pormal ang pagkwento kasi nga 'yun gusto ko. Kaso... wow sabaw--150 lbs. na ako no'n! Na-engganyo akong magpapayat. Naiba ang tema ng blog ko para mamonitor ko sarili ko. Ayon. Nagkaroon ng motivation maging healthy dahil sa mga sumusubaybay (click kung gusto makita ano nangyari). Syempre ayaw mo naman sila biguin kasi nga gusto mo ring magbigay ng inspirasyon at pag-asa na may bukas pa.

Ayun lang. Namiss ko mag-blog ng Tagalog. Corny kasi yung jokes ko pag naka-English. Wala namang joke sa post na toh. Huwag mo nang hanapin baka mapahiya lang ako.

It was because of this series that I bought Thalia's albums and memorized all the themesongs of her tv series. Very addictive lady. SHE WAS MY IDOL.

Some blog to inform... Some blog to entertain... Some blog to criticise...

It has almost been 7 years since I started blogging and this is the first time I will be doing it here in my blog world. I know that this is a tradition among some of us wherein we send each other some picture greetings/videos, but this isn't a tradition just because it is what's "in"... It is a tradition because we have established friendship among all of us and we do it wholeheartedly, and I believe that's what makes this tradition so special. *tears hehe!* Not everyone does it because we all have our own ways, but some do (like me haha!)... I am sure that everyone who does this just wants to show his/her deep gratitude and appreciation for the love and friendship that he/she has gained through the interaction that this world has given him/her. It is due to the same reason that I would like to express my awesome love back to the people I truly care about. :D

Life Always Has A Reason and Gandalf Agrees PART 1

Life. Everyone has a different take on how life goes. Everyone has a choice which others must respect. One either looks at life positively or negatively. Whichever one chooses, it must be respected.

If you ask me, if there are only two general choices, should I go to the side where I can stick & lose myself to things that I cannot reverse and continue losing more? Or should I go to somewhere I can move on and receive people or things that are already there for me to keep on going, gaining more happiness? I then choose to remain optimistic, thinking everything's a blessing. No matter how ugly it gets, I think of it as a blessing. Some may think that it's madness to even consider the worst heartbreaking scenario to be a blessing, but after some time (or after going through the usual Denial-Anger-Bargaining-Depression-Acceptance Coping Mechanism), I believe that I'll see the reason why it happened. It may take minutes, hours, days, months, or even years, testing one's patience and awareness, to see why a certain event may have even happened, but one must know how to get to the ACCEPTANCE stage. Emotions and logical reasoning get tested and if we fail, who gets affected? At the end of the day, it's just you who will be dwelling on either the good or bad feelings and you always have a choice.

I know that it is hard to think positive during intense negative emotions. I am sure everyone has been there. But even though one is alone in feeling all of the overwhelming emotions, one is not really alone. There's a reason why we get surrounded by all forms of comfort and it is our choice to be aware of how to use them. Sources of comfort may come in forms of our beliefs, family, friends, pets, even facebook & blogging.

I am writing this not to persuade or force people, rather, to at least just be an instrument of comfort to everyone who is going through difficult times. I want to be Gandalf for the mean time. He is such a great inspiration, especially after watching 4 whopping hours of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (EXTENDED VERSION). There's this scene wherein Frodo was wishing that all the hurtful negative things did not happen.

We can choose. We can decide. And we can choose for the better. He's correct when he says that there are other forces at work. Keep on the faith because after some time, we shall see the reasons why everything has happened.

There are many learnings to make our future better and we just have to be open to them. Everyone has their own "burdens" (which I call blessings or learnings) because we are all unique and we have different paths. We are being molded in different ways through different problems/learnings because we all have different goals . Comparing our own problems to the other's problems will not help because we're all given different things for our own different futures. Take a career for example. Are we all going to be movie stars? Are we all going to be nurses? Are we all going to be a ring bearer like Frodo? Of course not. Therefore, we will all have to face different things for our different goals.

We are all unique but we all have something in common. We all have a choice.

2010 Was Great But 2011 Is Greater!

2010 had been awesome for me.

I met a lot of new amazing friends both offline and online.

I developed a deeper relationship with old friends.

I reached my weight goal.

I was able to share my weightloss tips via my blog and through Women's Health.
I was able to decide on my career's direction.

I unexpectedly met a lot of people who became a great help to my goals.

I had a smooth flow in the processing of my future plans.

I was able to go to a lot of different places inside and outside the Philippines.

I was able to enjoy my hangout moments with my family, relatives, and friends.

I became more active in blogging compared to last year.
I was able to create serious video projects.

I was able to record a lot of songs.
I gained a lot of new skills.

I became more optimistic.

I became more confident.

I became more understanding.
I loved myself more.
I shared love and happiness to everyone.

I became closer to my parents.

I became closer to God.

2011 will be better. I just know it.

Too confident? More of just being positive. You cannot go through a year without the downs, but I know that they will help in pulling you up for further ups. I believe that everything is a blessing, as long as we have the patience to see the good things that all events bring, especially those which we consider "negative". A certain event may be negative now, but after some time, something better comes which would have never happened if it wasn't for "the bad" past.

So basically, I just know that 2011 is better among all of us no matter what happens because good things will always happen, and better things always come after "not-so-good" events as a result of new learnings and proper timing.
