I have blogged about them before, but I want to give a special tribute to these two amazing people. Before I go further with my post, I will start off my tribute with my video parody of the famous scene in their hit movie, "Labs Kita... Okey Ka Lang?" by Star Cinema. I blogged about this here: (Click)
"Oh yes! Kaibigan mo ako. Kaibigan... mo lang... ako... And that's all I ever was to you, Ned... Your BEST FRIEND... And I'm so stupid to make the biggest mistake of falling in love with my best friend. Dahil kahit kelan, hindi mo naman ako makikita eh. Kahit kelan, hindi mo ako kayang mahalin na higit pa sa isang kaibigan."
Thanks by the way to Ms. Jolina who recently commented on the video! Thank you so much! It means a lot coming from my favorite actress!:
|Forever down-to-earth ka Ate Jolina! :) Special appearance of fellow bloggers! Marvin and Eun! Thanks to everyone who liked and commented!|
JOLINA MAGDANGAL. I first saw her through ANG TV. "4:30 naaaa! ANG TV naaaa!"
She was my favorite member, and I would look forward to her singing segment. I even bought an ANG TV cassette tape when I was only 5 years old, and would play her song over and over again. I then saw her through Gimik, and it was there that I first saw MARVIN AGUSTIN. I believe I was only 8 or 9 years old that time, but I got influenced by my cousins, Ate Che & Ate Tin, in loving their TV show, and later on, their LOVE TEAM. I must admit that Marvin was one of my celebrity crushes before, and was happy that he got teamed up with my favorite Pinay actress/singer.
We all know that JOLINA MAGDANGAL has been known for her KIKAY outfits and unique HAIRSTYLES-- with the infamous bangs all the way! She made a fashion statement with her updos and butterfly clips, and her creativity and fashion sense made their influential ways through her own business, giving her more success in other aspects of her life. I will never forget her segment with Korina Sanchez, wherein she spoke about her CELPHONE COLLECTION. She never sells her old phones--she just keeps them, so that she can look back at the phones she once used. Because of this segment, I did the same. See how influential she got ! =p
Just like Jolina, MARVIN AGUSTIN was also considered to be one of the most successful celebrity entrepreneurs, and I admire him so much for getting to where he is now. I know that he studied and worked hard for this, and all his efforts paid off. Before I moved here to Sydney, I made sure that I would be able to visit my favorite restaurant, which is owned by Marvin, called "Sumo Sam". My mom and I love their CHICKEN TERIYAKI. I love how it is paired up with their salad, which has a tangy taste. You seriously MUST TRY this! I also used to pair it up with BROWN RICE--talk about flexibility for the health-conscious ones! =)

When I asked Marvin if he's going to open up a branch here in Sydney, his reply was:

It doesn't stop there... He is also known for bringing big artists like Miley Cyrus and Black Eyed Peas, since he also handles concert events via FUTURETAINMENT ( http://www.futuretainmentinc.com ).

To Jolina and Mark, CONGRATULATIONS! I am happy that the two of you are officially married! By the way, since I was 6 years old, I've been listening to Rivermaya. When I reached highschool, my band and I had a Rivermaya jamming session. Yes, I am also a rocker. Haha! Shoutout to my band: MORE ON 6 !
Marvin Agustin, on the other hand, has a movie that is part of the METRO MANILA FILM FESTIVAL this year. This movie is a collaboration between two of the famous film series that we all know: ENTENG KABISOTE and ANG TANGING INA. Combined, the film is entitled: "Enteng ng Ina Mo"... NICE! I know that this is a long post, but I believe that JOLINA and MARVIN deserve this. I love them a lot, and I have always wanted to share to the world how awesome these two are! Aside from admiring them for their talent in acting, I must say that I consider them as the MOST INFLUENTIAL CELEBRITIES in my list, because they are a true inspiration of success. They did not just depend on one aspect (acting), but they also ventured out, making use of everything they have to reach their overall goals. They are a great example and they inspire me. I hope they inspire you too.
To the 90s generation, admit it, YOU WERE ALSO A FAN! And I still am a fan, not only because they are great actors, but also great LIFE MOTIVATORS! :)
